Meet the Chef

Meghan Cattani

EXECUTIVE CHEF

Chef& Owner Meghan Cattani is a lifetime resident of New Jersey and grew up in an Italian family, where she learned at an early age that food was an essential ingredient to a good life. As a child, she watched her grandmothers prepare culinary masterpieces from scratch, often mimicking from a turned over milk create. Chef Meg has been working in the hospitality business more than half her life.

Meg is a graduate of Rowan University where she earned her degree in Fine Arts/ Graphic Design, but kept migrating to the kitchen to cook on the weekends, one of her great passions. Soon after graduating college, Meg took a job in the kitchen at a local restaurant and fell even more in love with her craft. She eventually studied at Mercer County Community College and graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City. Meg has always enjoyed the simple art of making people happy with food. After working in various local restaurants, her passion for creating and entertaining in the kitchen is what eventually led her to pursue a career as restauranteur and Cater in her hometown of New Jersey.

Meghan opened Cattani Catering & Kitchen in the spring of 2015. Seen as an homage to her late grandmothers Palma & Ada who taught her their humble yet refined Italian cuisine. Cattani kitchen was the ideal space to create the warm, welcoming, neighborhood, “Italian family table” restaurant which she had envisioned for so many years to life.
